Held from February 4 to 11, 1945 (As the war is not over yet) in the Livadia Palace located near the seaside resort of Yalta, on the coast of the Black Sea, Crimea, Yalta Conference meets in secret government leaders of the Soviet Union (Josef Stalin), UK (Winston Churchill), United States (Franklin D. Roosevelt) for the following purposes:
adopt a common strategy to hasten the end of the war;
determine the fate of Europe after the defeat of the Third Reich and;
ensure stability of the new world order after the victory.
It was obtained that Germany be demilitarized and divided into three zones of occupation (later France will get also an area).
