At 8:20, the Aum Shinrikyo attacks triggered 5 simultannées sarin gas in the Tokyo subway. Twelve people will be killed and there will be more than 5500 injured.

Opening of the first concentration camp

Heinrich Himmler opened in a former gunpowder factory at Dachau, a concentration camp for political prisoners (dissidents, communists ...). 250,000 people will be transferred to the camp between 1933 and 1945 which 70,000 died there.
