The Roswell incident concerns the crash to the ground, near Roswell in New Mexico (United States), of what is presented as a weather balloon by the American military or as an unidentified flying object (UFO ) by ufologists.
The event remains ignored for a long time and the affair as such begins, in 1980, with the publication of the book by the essayist Charles Berlitz and William Moore, The Roswell Incident (The Mystery of Roswell).
