The "Compagnie des Agents de Change," gives rise to the CAC 40 index with 1000 basis points.The CAC 40 was officially born June 15, 1988. Its creation followed the 1987 crash.CAC, which meant "Compagnie des agents de change", is now an acronym for "Cotation Assistée en Continu".
